This lure's design is the result of a collaborative effort with a local marine biologist and lure maker, based on an in-depth study of bluefin tuna feeding habits. Observing that tuna often feed on smaller sardines, we identified a gap in the market: existing small poppers and stick baits were too light to cast effectively with heavy tackle. To address this, we developed a lure weighing at least 60g (2oz), ensuring it can be cast far and mimicking a natural appearance in the water.
Our goal was to create a strong and versatile lure, so we incorporated titanium wire and added two loops for attaching hooks on either the back or bottom with a split ring. This lure excels in both quick cast-and-retrieve presentations and jigging, making it a perfect choice for targeting bluefin tuna and large pelagic species.
